Hey, I'm Damian Evans. 17 (senior), son of Sam and Rachel Evans. I play football and basketball and I can play the guitar and drums. I'm a pretty nice guy, come talk to me.

So, when's the next party?

Practice was killer.

I love Spirit Week. I love making the float, too. Then there’s the dance after the game Friday. I want to ask her, but there’s no chance.

I came to party like it's my civil right.: veronica-q-hudson: She shrugged, not knowing exactly how to answer....

He shook his head, motioning for her to keep going. “Come on, Ronnie,” he encouraged her, grinning. She was pretty good, he’d be the one to admit.

She sighed a little and started singing again.

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted
There is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Yeah there will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.”

She smiled and scratched her cheek lightly, looking over at Damien.

"See? It’s not that bad," he said as he finished up the chords, humming along slightly. Damian leaned over the guitar, arm resting on the side and hand dangling in front of it.

She shrugged, not knowing exactly how to answer. She’d been really exhausted lately. “I dunno. I just haven’t made time for it I guess. I usually just do stupid shit, no matter the consequences… Maybe I’ll try to do something fun this week.” She nodded and smiled. “Now…

She smiled as he started to play, watching his fingers form the chords on the strings. “I do.” Ronnie nodded. “But I don’t sing. Never have, never intend to. Never will unless it’s a life or death situation.” She laughed. “Or if someone bribes me.”

“Come ooon,” he said a his fingers moved across the strings swiftly and easily. He looked over at her, a teasing glimmer in his eyes. Damien tapped her playfully with the elbow closest to Ronnie, smiling a bit. “I bought you ice cream and you’re getting dinner tonight. I think I should get to hear you sing.”

Ronnie rolled her eyes playfully and sighed. “Okay, fine fine. I’ll sing..” She cleared her throat and ran a hand through her hair, waiting a second before starting in with the lyrics.

When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be…“

She trailed off after a bit and looked off to the side, blushing a little bit.

He shook his head, motioning for her to keep going. “Come on, Ronnie,” he encouraged her, grinning. She was pretty good, he’d be the one to admit.

He made a face when she told him to play, but did as she said. “Fiiine,” Damien said, making it sounds as if it were a horrible burden she was putting on him. He looked over at the music, moving the binder a bit so he could see it better. He started playing the chords, tapping his foot to the beat gently. “I’m guessing you know the lyrics, right?” he asked, raising an eyebrow, smiling a bit.

“You weren’t here before mom cleaned.” He laughed, stepping around the chair at his desk against one wall. Damien picked his acoustic up by the neck off the rest it was on when he wasn’t using it. He moved to sit on the edge of his bed, resting it in his lap. “Alright, any song you have in mind?” Damien motioned for her to sit in the empty space next to him.

She looked around his room and chuckled, it was messy but not too messy. Ronnie tried to think of a song for him to play as she walked over and plopped down in the spot next to him. “Hm… What about Let It Be by the Beatles?” She suggested with raised eyebrows. It was one of her favorite songs to listen to, so it only made sense that she asked him to play it.

“Nice choice,” he said, nodding once appreciatively. “Mind handing me that binder over there?” Damien asked her, pointing to a blank black binder sitting untouched on his desk next to his laptop and random developed pictures he had. It held all of the music for his guitar in it since there was no way he’d be able to memorize it.

“Sure.” She stood up in order to reach the binder, picked it up and handed it to him. Ronnie dropped back down in her seet and sat criss cross on the bed, facing Damien. “How long have you been playing?” She asked as she played with a strand of her hair.

“Not too long..Maybe a year or two? Around the beginning of sophomore year.” Damien smiled a bit as he tuned the guitar, flipping through the pages in the book to find where he had all the Beatles chords he had printed out.

“Ah, cool.” She said as she watched him lip through the pages. “I’ve played the drums for god knows how long. My dad taught me when I was really little. I haven’t played in a while though. I’ve barely had enough time to do fun stuff.” Ronnie smiled a little as she thought back to the time when she first started to learn how to play the drums.

“What’s been keeping you busy? Aside from school, I mean,” he asked her, meaning why she hasn’t had time to do anything fun. Damien eventually found the song and he paused, hand on the binder.
